Door Number One Oil on Canvas Panel Back when I had a studio in Opelika, Alabama, I was located in a very old and very crumbly building. It had to be a hundred years old and I am sure it was only build to last twenty-five. Around one side of the building was this door. The yellow awning was all that was left of somebody’s failed attempt at opening a business there. It had remained empty as long as I was there. The great thing about this door is that right across from it, is a parking lot shaded by the Tenth Street Bridge, which is a great spot to keep your easel out of the sun!
